From Tailors with Love: Episode 13 — The Bond Experience

This week on From Tailors with Love, Peter Brooker and I talk with The Bond Experience‘s David Zaritsky. David has been inspiring me with his passion for over a decade on how I can better my life through James Bond. Amongst many things, he takes fashion inspiration from Bond and helps bring it to the rest of us. He tells me and Pete about how Bond has affected his life, about his Bond collection, and how and why he wears James Bond clothing.

I talk about the way I cook Bond’s favourite dish, scrambled eggs while Pete discusses interesting clothing-related passages from Bond film producer Cubby Broccoli’s autobiography When the Snow Melts.

In news we discuss the mysterious upcoming Bond exhibit at New York’s Spyscape museum and Mads Mikkelsen meeting a fan with a tattoo of himself. We also talk about the excellent Daniel Craig Bond clothing replicas made by Daniel Love of the Australian-based ROYALE Filmwear.

Pete discusses his trip to see the Daniel Craig wax figure at Madame Tussauds wax museum in London, and I reminisce about my visit in 2016 to see the five previous Bond wax figures that Lindy Hemming dressed at Madame Tussauds in New York.

  1. Hi Matt,I have to agree with David in your video that interest in Bond enhances one’s life.Together with you site,David’s,Simon Crompton’s and Hugo Jacomet’s …you should all be very proud of your work.

  2. All roads lead to bond….
whether it’s money, love, knowledge at the end of the day it’s still black and white.
    end of discussion on that.

  3. David is certainly an Éminence grise in the field of Bond, and I would herein like to acknowledge my debt to him. Ten years ago, I used to read his postings on Remmert Van Braan’s site. They inspired me to also, throughout the last ten years, contribute articles for what is, I believe, along with this site, the two preeminent sites dealing with Bond living. Thanks David, thanks Matt for all of your superb efforts, and Happy New Year.
