From Tailors with Love: Episode 10 — Interview with the Man Behind “Thunderballs”

In this week’s podcast, Peter Brooker of Human Research interviews Marty, the man behind the THUNDERBALLS channel on Twitter. Marty has collected as many photos and stills from the James Bond series as he could possibly find, and for over a year he has been sharing them on Twitter. On Friday he is launching an unofficial archive of the photos he has collected, which number over 13,000! It is a fantastic resource for those of us who want to see new angles in high resolution of Bond’s clothes, particularly of the infrequently seen shoes! He has done a superb job with this site.

Pete and I also discuss my new article about Roger Moore in the Japanese Magazine Men’s Precious, and Pete talks about joining MI6 ‘s phone network.

We also talk about the You Only Live Twice herringbone suit in the Profiles in History auction, and it is expected to fetch $100,000 to $150,000.

In a new Wardrobe Wars, I suggest Richard James for a future Bond clothier while Pete lobbies for Burberry. Vote for your choice at the Menswear Style Twitter.
